Everyone should feel welcome, connected, and secure
At the Y, strengthening community is our cause. We work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of ability, age, cultural background, ethnicity, income, faith, gender, gender identity, race, or sexual orientation, can learn, grow, and thrive.
Our vision is for all people to achieve their optimal health and wellbeing, gain confidence, make connections, and feel secure at every stage of life. We do this through our 3 areas of focus:
- Youth Development—empowering young people to reach their full potential.
- Healthy Living—improving individual and community wellbeing.
- Social Responsibility—engaging others to join us in giving back and providing support to our neighbors in need and inspiring action in our communities.
Our Commitment To Equity And Inclusion For All
We work to ensure that everyone—regardless of ability, age, cultural background, ethnicity, income, faith, gender, gender identity, race or sexual orientation—feels welcome, connected and secure.
We aim to empower all members, participants, staff and volunteers to fully participate in Y programs and services, and develop to their fullest potential as global citizens.
Our programs and branches embrace diversity, reflect the needs of the communities they serve, and strive to ensure access, inclusion and engagement for all.
