What started with using my dad's old rusty weight lifting equipment in my backyard led to my love of health and fitness. As someone who has always loved food, I grew up overweight and struggled with my fitness. In high school, I took a leap of faith and discovered that patience, perseverance, and consistency could create real change, ultimately helping me lose more than 100 pounds.

That experience taught me firsthand that meaningful change is possible and continues to shape my approach to training today. I enjoy working with individuals who are new to exercise, looking to lose weight, or wanting to build strength and confidence through realistic, sustainable habits.

My fitness journey began as a young adult when I found myself huffing and puffing through my first aerobics class. Although I grew up in Hawaiʻi surrounded by opportunities to be active, it wasn't until my early twenties that I discovered a sustainable path toward lifelong health and wellness. Along the way, I overcame feelings of inadequacy about my body, recovered from multiple stress injuries, and experienced four healthy pregnancies.

Those experiences taught me that it's never too late to prioritize your health and that life's challenges may change your approach to fitness, but they don't have to stop your progress. I believe lasting change comes from dedication, patience, and thoughtful planning, and I enjoy helping clients find a sustainable path toward better health and well-being.

Athletics, sports, and education have been important parts of my life for many years. Throughout my career, I have served as a PE teacher at Kaʻelepulu Elementary, an assistant boys varsity basketball coach at Kailua High School, and have been involved in the local sports community as an ILH basketball official and member of Waimānalo Canoe Club.

Today, you can often find me jogging through Kailua, hiking local trails, playing pickleball, or working out at the Y. I enjoy helping individuals build strength, improve mobility, and gain confidence through exercise. One of the most rewarding parts of being a trainer is seeing clients grow stronger and more capable as they work toward their goals.
