Convenient care for City and County of Honolulu program participants

For kids registered in the Summer Fun Program with the City and County of Honolulu, the Y provides Summer Plus from 2 pm to 5:30 pm - childcare and engagement—including sports, arts, crafts, games, reading, and more at these locations:

Your child must be registered for Summer Fun to be eligible for Summer Plus.

Dates and rates

  • Register online or in person at the City and County Summer Fun website when the City opens registration. Summer Plus Before and After Program care is done in conjunction with your Summer Fun registration.
  • Summer Plus Rates:
    • Before Care: $231/child
    • After Care: $297/child
  • City and County’s Summer Fun program dates: June 10 - July 26 [No program on June 11, Kamehameha Day, and July 4, Independence Day.

City and County Summer Fun Registration Schedule

Registration for keiki participants will begin from Monday, May 13 through Friday, May 17, 2024, based on geographic park district under the following timetable:

  • District 1 (East Honolulu): May 13 from 5 p.m.
  • District 2 (West Honolulu): May 14 from 5 p.m.
  • District 3 (Leeward O‘ahu): May 15 from 5 p.m.
  • District 4 (Windward & North O‘ahu): May 16 from 5 p.m.
  • District 5 (Central O‘ahu): May 17 from 5 p.m.

Register for Summer Fun

For those without access to a computer or the Internet, please call the Summer Fun Site where you wish to sign up to coordinate registration. A list of the 2024 Summer Fun sites and contact information is on the City and County website.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your registration for "Summer Plus" - City and County Summer Fun After Program Care, submit an online request or contact our Service Center at 808-678-4296.

Requests for a program cancellation on or before April 30, 2024, will receive a full refund, including your deposit. Starting May 1, 2024, there will be a $50 service fee per child and transaction applied to your family’s account as a credit which can be used for any YMCA programs and services. The remainder of the balance will be refunded. Refund requests will only be processed for program weeks that have not yet started.
