An option to explore the camp experience
Summer day camp is a place for kids to thrive. Going beyond typical summer day care, specially crafted activities promote exploration, friendship, leadership, and learning that result in increased confidence, well-being, and connection to the community.
- Ages: Kids who are in or completed grades K-6
- Options that include overnight camp at Camp Erdman are for kids who are in or completed grades 1-6
- Days and times: 7am to 5:30pm (8:30am - 4:30pm for Camp Erdman Day Camp), Monday through Friday
- YMCA locations: Camp Erdman Y, Kaimuki-Waialae Y, Kalihi Y, Leeward Y, Mililani-West Oahu Y, Nu‘uanu Y, and Windward Y.
- What’s included: Swim time in our heated pools, playing outdoors, weekly field trips, and learning about Hawaiiana, health, nutrition, and more. Camp Erdman Day Camp includes lunch. Other day camp sites may include lunch as designated USDA lunch program sites. Campers will be notified prior to the start of camp if their site qualified for the USDA free lunch program
- Community sites: Community sites: Nu‘uanu Congregational Church, Kapolei Elementary School, and select community locations (such as schools and churches)
- What’s included: Time to play, plus fun and enriching experiences that cover Hawaiiana, fitness, nutrition, and academics.
Financial aid is available for individuals earning less annually than $65,000 per household and families of four earning less than $110,000 per household. Use our calculator to determine your potential amount.
Payment Plans: A $250 deposit reserves your package with bi-weekly payments or the full balance due on May 15, 2024. A $25 deposit reserves your Camp week, with the balance due on May 15, 2024.

Give kids the total camping experience with a combination of day and overnight camp.- Add 1 week of overnight camp at Camp Erdman (choose any week): $585.60 members and $732 non-members

- Mililani Y Exclusive 9-week Summer package includes 9 weeks of day camp at Mililani Y and a Friday to Saturday overnight stay at Camp Erdman: $2,034 members and $2,538 non-member
- The overnight stay at Camp Erdman will be held for kids who are in or completed grades 2-6. An overnight stay at the Mililani Y will be held for kids in or completed grades K-1. The overnight stay will be held Friday, July 26 through Saturday, July 27.

- Science Summer Day Camp (Saturdays, 8am-noon): Starting at $48/day, package options available
- Summer Basketball Camp (Mon/Wed/Fri, 2:30pm-4:00pm): Starting at $40/week, package options available
Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel your registration for Summer Day Camp or Camp Erdman programs, submit an online request or contact our Service Center at 808-678-4296.
Requests for a program cancellation on or before April 30, 2024, will receive a full refund, including your deposit. Starting May 1, 2024, there will be a $50 service fee per child and transaction applied to your family’s account as a credit which can be used for any YMCA programs and services. The remainder of the balance will be refunded. Refund requests will only be processed for program weeks that have not yet started.
All YMCA summer day camps include the Heroic Journey Superhero Mental Health Program, which teaches social-emotional learning and bullying prevention using popular superheroes and movie stories.

Session 6 | July 8-12 Pirates vs. Ninjas: Bravery, thrills, skills, and more! Pirates vs. Ninjas features fun and friendly competition to help us appreciate our shared similarities and unique differences. |
Session 7 | July 15-19 Culture Remix: Music, foods, and fashions sample inspiration from around the world to create something new. Culture Remix helps us celebrate cultural diversity through music, games, and more. |
Session 8 | July 22-26 Under the Sea: Dive into the underwater world to appreciate and understand how we can preserve our ocean treasures like coral reefs, sea creatures, and more. |
Session 9 | July 29 - August 2 Aloha Summer: From hello to goodbye, Aloha Summer celebrates the most-loved moments from this season with experiences focused on what we learned, and of course fun! |
Note: There is no day camp on July 4th.

Kids registered in day camp at Leeward, Nu’uanu, and Windward can add intensive swim lessons to their summer camp experience. The progressive swim program has 6 levels designed to help kids develop strokes and water-safety skills.

Summer Day Camp newsletters for your day camp site will be available by the Wednesday before that camp week starts. The newsletters will also be distributed and posted at your camper's site.
